![]() I only set the HPF at 100 on the Headunit because at 80 theres some ratting in the door panel that I haven't had time to fix yet. I'm guessing the HPF of the headunit should be closer to the LPF on the amp so i'm not missing frequencies, but I really have no idea. also when i first got my memphis amp, he cranked everything full, and the sub was getting distortion so i turned it down and got most of the distortion outta the sub. Current settings are: On the Amp LPF 80, HPF 30. but anytime he set mine, it never thumped as much as the way i had it set. ![]() well so what my dad told me  he has had systems that would make your chest hurt. ![]() i am pretty new to this, my dad's friend is good at this sorta stuff. The Joshwah is the least straightforward of the 3 pedals reviewed here, but with all that complexity comes a crazy spectrum of great and usable bass sounds. but to me it seems like the amp is letting through frequencies it shouldn't be but i'm not sure. i'm pretty sure the sub isn't blowen, when you push it in, it doesn't make any noise, doen't smell funny, but it has been gettin some distortion. Sundown SA-12 is wired down to 1 ohm, verified with my multi meter. Raised the gain just before the clip light turned on. Set the gains using a 40 Hz -5dB test tone with the HU (Kenwood DMX125BT) at max volume. Infrasonic or subsonic are sound waves below par at a certain frequency that can reach a human ear. i'm not sure about the low-pass filter for the non-fading sub output. Paired this SA-12 classic in a ported enclosure with a D4S JP8 amp, wired using OFC 4 gauge. i have a sealed box, and the subsonic filter is off. Within that band, it’ll vary depending on your chosen music and the rest of your setup. The purpose of an LPF is to remove or reduce unwanted high-frequency noise or distortion from an audio signal by preventing them from reaching the audio device. How to set gain car amplifier gain, LPF and Subsonic filter amplifier gain lowpass subsonicamplifier, gain, how to set amplifier gain, amplifier tuning,am. The sweet spot for getting some pounding bass without destroying your subwoofer is between 25 Hz and 35 Hz. An LPF (Low Pass Filter) is a feature on an amplifier that allows only low-frequency signals to pass through it, whereas it blocks all the high-frequency sounds. Ok right now i'm sick and dizzy, so bare with me, but the LPF is almost as low as it can be set on the amp, the gain is about 3/4 full. Since the Hz setting on the subsonic filter is the start of a slope, not a cutoff, we want to set it higher than 20 Hz.
